Microsoft is adding a new AI-powered security feature to Teams aimed at detecting phishing, scams, and identity theft by analyzing conversations, Bleeping Computer reports.
In a Microsoft 365 Message Center post (mirror), the company said, “During initial quality validation, detection may run in the background without showing warnings to users.
The rollout will begin in early November 2026 and is expected to be generally available during the first half of December.
Across 60 test configurations spanning 10 Android apps and three different AI models, the tool successfully recovered deleted conversation data.
