OLD BUILDING WITH GODOWN ON GROUND FLOOR COLLAPSES A preliminary inspection revealed that the ground-floor structure of an old building, which reportedly housed a godown, collapsed along with the first-floor structure built above it.
Later in the evening, Ministers Ashish Sood and Kapil Mishra also visited the building collapse site.
Civil Defence volunteers and teams from the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) and Delhi Fire Service also joined the overnight rescue operation.
The police said legal action was being initiated under relevant provisions of law, while further investigation into the incident was underway.
