Venugopal, on Tuesday accused the Modi government of blocking the INDIA Bloc’s planned protest and public campaign for the removal of Chief Election Commissioner, Gyanesh Kumar, over alleged irregularities in the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the electoral rolls.
Instead, he accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah of trying to protect Gyanesh Kumar.
