Confirmed facts
Each fact is a sentence from a source that at least two independent outlets report.
The July breach involved data downloaded from an AT&T workspace on a third-party cloud platform hosted by Snowflake.
Payments are expected to start going out as early as December, though most eligible class members will likely get their money in early 2027.
Why AT&T is paying Plaintiffs alleged the company failed to put adequate cybersecurity measures in place before two separate breaches, one in March 2024 and another in July 2024.
Some plaintiffs said their savings were drained from their accounts, while others said loans were taken out in their names or that their credit scores plunged because of fraud.
AT&T has said that data appeared to date from 2019 or earlier.
