After another unreleased model exploited a network flaw to reach the live web in September, OpenAI paused frontier model training entirely to overhaul its safeguards.
Its new WebAI preview lets websites and browser extensions use local models inside Opera One without requiring another AI subscription or sending the information they handle to a cloud service.
